Chichester College, West sussex
This building dates back to the 16th century, when it was apparently a monastery. The building was stripped of randomly laid slates, and were replaced with 20/10 Welsh Heavys, ranging from 25mm to 3 mm thickness. These were sorted, holed and graded into six different grades to create the feathered effect.
