Once we had
stripped the roof of all off its coverings , we found that no
form of lead flashings nor gutterings had been used to the
abutments hence as you can see from the pictures above that the
parting walls themselves had to be rebuilt due to severe water
ingression.
The valley section to the back of
the property. The valley boards didn't run in line with the
birds mouth at the bottom it was out by approximately 150mm. the
only thing that can be done with a property of this age, is to
go with it, as to change it would be possible but an enormous
task and expensive.
once we had the roof of it was an
ideal time to open the loft and board it out for extra storage
space.
